Zenless Zone Zero è un gioco di ruolo d'azione gratuito di miHoYo, lo studio cinese di Genshin Impact e Honkai: Star Rail, prodotto da Zhenyu Li. Il team ha citato come influenze Persona 5, Digimon World e Street Fighter: da quest'ultimo vengono le animazioni dei personaggi in combattimento, mentre Digimon World ha ispirato l'orologio interno del gioco.

Rispetto ai giochi precedenti dello studio, Zenless Zone Zero ha scelto una strada diversa anche nei personaggi, divisi in fazioni con stili molto riconoscibili. Ci sono anche personaggi non umani, come un orso grizzly, un'oni blu e un pistolero androide: all'inizio non erano previsti, ma il team li trovò così divertenti da inserirli nel gioco.

Il gioco è uscito il 4 luglio 2024 su PC, iOS, Android e PlayStation 5, e nel 2025 anche su Xbox Series X/S. Lo studio lo ha modificato più volte ascoltando i giocatori, per esempio ridimensionando la poco amata modalità TV basata su enigmi.
