How to read it
Every day, at about 05:00 UTC, Statcade reads the players online for every game in the catalog from the Steam Web API. The position is the order by players online among the Steam games with data that day (ties are broken by appid).
The 20 games are the top ones in the latest reading; on earlier days some stood lower. A day enters the chart only if at least half of the catalog has a reading.
When a game is added to the catalog Statcade tracks, the games below it drop one place even if their players do not change. The catalog is today's, also used for past days: a game removed from the catalog disappears from every day.
Positions are those at about 05:00 UTC, not right now: the Players page follows the latest data and its order can differ. The catalog Statcade tracks is not all of Steam: games outside it do not appear.
